Ross Appleyard is a former senior correspondent for Sky News. He has now happily swapped his flak jacket for a fishing rod and tractor, and runs the estate with his wife, Diana.
Diana is a writer who is an author of six novels, published by Transworld and is an ardent wild swimmer.
The couple have two grown-up daughters, three dogs, Muck the collie, Eigg the Labrador and Eric the Jack Russell cross, two cheeky donkeys Sam and Rodney, a flock of very tame sheep and pygmy goats Yara and Geronimo.
