From Glasgow stay on the M8 towards Glasgow Airport, and once past the airport look for the turning off to Erskine Bridge. Go over the bridge and immediately after the bridge take the left fork signposted ‘Crianlarich.’ Then follow the A82 up the side of Loch Lomond, until you reach Tarbet. Do not turn right to Crianlarich, but follow the road which bears left to Inverary. Through Inverary and on to Lochgilphead – about 48 miles from Tarbet.
In Lochgilphead, do not turn up the main street but carry on to the roundabout, and take the right turn there to Oban on the A816. Go past the garage and swimming pool, and after about 3 miles look for a right turning signposted Bridgend and Kilmichael Glassary. Turn right here, and then take the 3rd exit left signposted ‘Kilmichael Glen.’ Up the glen road for about 2 miles – you will go over a stone bridge and then a flat bridge. Kirnan Farm is on your left, then you will see Kirnan Cottage (this is not us), a little white cottage which says ‘Holiday Cottage.’
Continue up Kilmichael Glen, past Kirnan House, until you go around a left-hand bend and then almost immediately see signs which say ‘Bradan Lodges’ and ‘Woodcock’ and ‘Wild Cat’ lodges. Turn left up here
